I've recently developed an obsession for white basses. I plan on getting an Arctic White Fender P very very soon actually, which I have a Dark Black Pearloid pickguard for :)

    Post away!!

If anyone can find this... Vintage '62 Jazz bass with the chrome pickup and bridge covers finished in olympic white with a red pearloid pickguard. That shows just how great a white finish can be.

The neck is like a very good spector and the sound is like a Ric on steroids. Get "Yes at the House of Blues" and listen to Chris Squire play his to get a good idea of the sound.

Overall, appreciation of this instrument seems low when I gig with it, but it's one of my favorites (some guy mistook it for a cheap bass, in fact). In reality, it's a custom, hand-made Hanewinckel with a stunning Brazillian Rosewood board and Villex pickups. It's light and sounds better than any P bass I've owned although it's definitely got a P bass vibe. Ultimately, I sorta don't mind that people think it's a cheap bass (it ain't, I assure you) because that lessens the likelihood that it will "walk off" on a gig! ;)

I'm not really a fan of P type basses but I like the looks of yours. The body is almost a cross between a P bass and a Mosrite

Thanks, it's definitely got a sort of retro/Mosritey look. :D
