I bought this 1968 Fender Telecaster bass with the pink paisley finish when I was 19 years old in 1972. This finish was not popular. I read that if you bought a Fender amp they would give you pink paisley Tele. I saw one that matched my bass in the early 70's at Don Wher Music City that was on Lombard in S.F. It was $200 and would have nicely matched my bass except $200 was a lot of money for an out of work bass player on $41 a week unemployment. I saw that guitar later for $48,000. I have seen my bass selling for $18,000. Unfortunately, my bass is not stock. It has the first prototype of an EMG bass pickup that was installed for free as a test. They routered the face of the bass to make it fit. It also has a brass nut and brass bridge.

    Where's the roasted part?
  12. P Bass G3. P Bass G2. p-bass green. I've posted this before - its a 2011 Fender MIM 60th anniv P Bass body with aftermarket Jazz neck, modded at Richie's Guitar Shop NYC. Only other mods are the output jack and pick guard (D'Andrea). The finish on the body is original Fender and I think is called white pearl or something. Depending oil the light it can look cream or gold - it has a light sparkle fleck through it. Right now I'm running the gold sparkle pick guard (previously the green pearloid one in the bottom pic was on it - I like both and plan to get a different color next to try).

  19. Lovely. :) I had a Redburst L2000 with a Birdseye maple fretboard. It was almost too pretty to play. Unfortunately it weighed almost 11-12lbs and had to go.
