Yes .. The guy on the top is one of the singers from that group. He's on the left in the original Lydells picture. We kept the name when their group broke up.

    Hi!

My old friend Rick (drummer) sent me this photo last night. I'm sure you remember Rick. We still work together once in a while. We played zillions of gigs together in the 90s, at least 20 a month. This picture is from Mule Days in Bishop CA but I don't remember which year, but it was somewhere deep in the 90s.

That's Rick giving me the rabbit ears. :p I wish this was a color photo because that shirt was fabulous! :)

    Thank you for your indulgence,

With that shirt, even without color, you don't need to say that picture is from the 90s! Between those cowboy shirts and equally colorful shirts that Keenen Ivory Wayans would wear in the opening segments of "In Living Color", we may never see times like those again. Shirts so loud you didn't need an amp.

    Hi!

I wore a lot of Wrangler and Roper shirts but I never had one of those flaming Garth Brooks shirts. But, yes, the louder the better for me back then. :D

Here's more pictures from that same gig. I do believe it was 1993. Rick (pedal steel/midi guitar), a not-so-old country bass player, Carrie Lynn, Vern (guitar), Rick (drums). Man, those were great days. :D

My Guild Pilot 5-string was my main axe back then.

My shirt's not as loud as Cliff's, but we certainly shared the "mullet with bolo tie" vibe!

    Hi,

Sure enough. It is a few inches lower. Hunh. Maybe that's just where that bass felt comfortable. Good eye. I didn't even notice.

@City, here's another photo from the same era and it seems a bit higher. Maybe it's just the angle of the picture?
