  1. 1974 those bad boys could really be nice.
    The band name translates like "The gang of indigenous people from the north"

    My first band at the East Lansing Arts Festival, May 1978. I'm the guy in the middle playing guitar. About a year later I came over from the dark side and switched to bass.

    This is from October 2011. I think the local hippie rag printed it because the press release was just beyond the beyond-o. I wish I could remember the guy's name. He came to see us at a dive bar in West Asheville, and got real enthusiastic about us. The first thing he ever said to me (that night at the dive bar) was "This is like one of those stupid movies where the guy takes the girl to this dingy joint to hear a band and they're actually really good." I think he really wanted to be in the band. Note the use of "Now we are ready") And thus:

    My first foray into paid music was me on vocals circa 1989, I was the drummer, but yes, they fired me before our first paid gig - the bass player was a classically trained cellist:

  18. This was probably our best show. Also with my Favorite Bass player. We had a really good sound guy and first time playing out!
    You know that energy! 4 years back and we are still going
