  1. i have a lowely squier p bass and i want to fix it up make it the best darn POS around,
my pots sound crackly when i tunr them, what can i do to fix this? could i clean them? how would i go about this, any and all help is much appreciated
  2. You can try to clean them. Open up the cavity of the bass and where the legs come out of the pots, there is a little gap. Spray some CRC (in the blue can) in there. Or WD40 (that doesnt last as long but it might be enough). Then turn the pot full clockwise and fully anti clockwise a fair few times.

If it still doesnt fix them, just replace them. They're cheap from radio shack and for a POS would be fine. ;)

  3. sort of related question: how do you remove the knobs from the pots?
