I have my PLX 1602 set to bridge and yet the signal lights still indicate channel 2 is still active (slightly more than channel 1 in fact)

    what could be causing this?

  2. Do you have the gain turned all the way down for channel 2?

Channel 2 is providing half the voltage swing in bridged mode so it's definitely active. The difference in the LEDs is just down to metering imperfections.

As Alex said, bridge mono uses the output voltage of both channels; without both channels, it's not bridged. If you want to use just channel 1, then you'd have to run the amp in stereo and connect only to channel 1's inputs and outputs.
