what do you guys think would be the best power amp for an ampeg svp-pro preamp? I'm going to use it to power a peavey 4x10 tvx 8ohm, and a peavey 115BX BW 8 ohm. both of these cabs are rated at 350 watts RMS. What would you guys recommend?

Mackie 1440.... i use it for my svp-pro and i LOVE IT!! I do believe at 8 ohms it delivers 300 watts per side.... but since the svp-pro has no crossover or biamp type thing.. you could hook up both cabs in parallel and bridge the amp to get 1400 watts out of it. I currently am using the 2x300 for my swr 810 just because i don't need the extra power, and it's plenty loud... i rarely turn above halfway on on the poweramp, and I haven't clipped it yet. I'm competing with two mesa boogie fullstacks with one super cranked lead guitarist and can always hear myself.

the 1440 has bananna's and speakons
the 1440i has bananna's and 1/4 inch jacks.

I'm not too fluent with others.. but that's my suggestion

    Try the SWR Power 750. It's rated as"850 Watts @ 2.6 ohms
    750 Watts @ 4 ohms
    450 Watts @ 8 ohms
(minimum load = 2.6 ohms)" It's pretty loud, but expensive.

I'm also using the same setup as falsehood but in answer to your question bassman the addition I making in the comp./limiter department is going to be without a doubt a DBX 160A. :D
