is it possible to hook up a 50 watt combo head through a pa poweramp, using the 50watt head as a preamp?

if it doesnt have any specialized outputs, use the headphone output.

will the headphone out work with a direct input of the power amp?

  5. Well the ohms might be mis matched but it will work most of the time. If you don't have a line out you can get a DI with speaker input. Meaning you can plug your speaker output into the DI and the output from the DI into the power amp. I think Behringer makes a DI with a speaker in.
