im looking at getting a mackie m800 or m1400, besides more power does the m1400 have any more feature worth having,
besides mackie is there any other good brands to look into.

  2. I own a Mackie 1400i and am delighted with it.

Carvin Power amps offer a very accurate un-colored signal reproduction.
Have very good damping factors, and they cost even less than the Mackie.

I really like the Carvin Power amps, I have tried a few.
Also, it won Best Buy on Bass Player mag.
    Try the DCM1000 or DCM2000

The QSC PLX series seems to be pretty popular. I think they are a tiny bit more expensive than the Mackie's but from what people say they are definitely worth the extra cost.
