    Hey all,

My amp is rated @ 300W into a minimum 4 ohm load.....

Ok so I have a 410 and 115 each rated @ 8 ohms, this splits the amp down to 4 ohms........

So does this mean my amp is distributing power 50-50? In other words is each cab getting 150 watts? I did a search and the Ohm thread says so much in tech type language, I guess I'm just making sure I understand it.

    Thanks in advance :D

If both cabs are of equal nominal impedance, then they will receive the same amount of power from the amp.

    Moved to Amps.

in that case each cab is getting 150 watts, 300 watts total are being produced by the head.

kind of like pouring 300 ounces of water into two cups. you don't end up with 300 Oz in each cup, you end up with 150 Oz in each cup. ;)

If you want to go another step, and look at it from a per-driver standpoint, then the fifteen is getting 150W, and each ten is absorbing only 38W.

Looking at the title to this thread, I thought I was going to learn how to use that 220 line that one of my local venues just installed back near the stage...
