Hi all! Just a little doubt about power supplies...
Since I've already collected power supplies during the years, instead of buying an isolated one, I thought "well, I can use the ones that I have to power each pedal, should be the same, more or less".
So, I have five pedals powered by a one spot with daisy chain and other four each one with their own power supply (good ones) three fuzzes and an overdrive/DI, plugged into two or one power strips (plugged directly into the wall's power outlets, not chained togheter): the hum was embarassing...a sound tecnician would have cut my throath.

The other doubt is: when I use a solid state amp (GK700rbII), there's no problem. I mean, the hum is not that much. I recently bought an Ampeg SVT classic and the hum increased a lot.
Is that a characteristic of tubes? An isolated power supply would resolve the problem?
    Sorry for the long post
    Thanks...

The hum can be more audible on tubes (but how I love the SVT sound) and the cheap Chinese unisolated supplies are noise as hell.A iso brick could help .

Voodoo Labs - They make FANTASTIC power supplies. You owe it yourself to get the appropriate model and get rid of ALL hum issues. Believe me, you don't want that live and you should NEVER think about that when playing a show.

Voodoo labs make quality stuff and there are other very good isolated power supplies out there (Cioks,MXR,Walrus audio for example)My point that I can't stress enough is not to make the mistake I did and bought a cheap Chinese power supply that looks very professional but is as noisy as just using a daisy chain and cheap power strip.I did my homework, ponied up the x-tra bucks and bought a true isolated supply. I ended up buying the MXR m238 iso brick but imo any of the previously mentioned "quality " devices will give the desired results.
