    Hi all,

I already own a Big Muff Pi (American), which I always use with the power supply. I'm going to buy a Korg Pitchblack because it's just more practical than my trusty Korg CA40 in live situations.

My question: could I daisy chain these two pedals using the EHX EU96 DC-200 BI AC Adapter, so bass-->Korg-->Muff-->amp, or should I buy another power supply for the Korg? In case of the latter, which power supply?

This is the stuff I'm looking at: http://www.thomann.de/be/the_sssnake_dc5.htm
http://www.thomann.de/be/t_rex_dc_current_doubler_50cm.htm (leaning towards this one because I'm only using 2 pedals anyway)
    http://www.thomann.de/be/t_rex_dc_linkcable.htm
--> in combination with EHX power supply or with this one: http://www.thomann.de/be/thomann_ntac109.htm (the power supply that comes with the Pitchblack bundle)

    http://www.thomann.de/be/visual_sound_vs_1_spot_combo_pack.htm

    Thanks!

i thought there is a dc out from the pitchblack? use that? plug the power supply into the pitchblack than get a daisy chain out to the big muff?assuming you have only 2 pedal.

The DC out on my Pitchblack pedal died... hope yours lasts longer than mine did!

You don't even need a 500mA adapter since the Muff needs maximum 10mA (the Black Russian Muff consumes about 5). Besides, the power out of the Pitch Black is rated at 200mA (I think) and the pedal itself needs 35mA. So you need maximum 45-50 mA.

As for the cable, I think you need this: http://www.thomann.de/gb/t_rex_dc_adapter_cable_21_35.htm since the American silver Muff uses a mini-jack plug.

The Bass Big Muff Pi uses a regular jack, which is strange because on the Thomann website, the description of an EHX adapter with mini-jack says it can be used with the Big Muff.

Found this on the EHX website: "9V Power Jack - The Bass Big Muff Pi can run off of a 9V battery or you can use a 9VDC battery eliminator capable of delivering at least 100mA to the 9V power jack. The optional 9V power supply from Electro-Harmonix is 9.6DC-200BI (same as used by Boss(tm) & Ibanez(tm)) 9.6 Volts DC 200mA. The battery eliminator must have a barrel connector with center negative. The battery may be left in or taken out when using an eliminator."

The Pitchblack output is rated at max. 200mA.

So I could use the EHX power supply (which is 200mA) and any daisy chain cable with barrel jacks, right?

Really sorry for making this thread longer than it could be, I'm a complete dimwit when it comes to the technical side of electronics.

Oh, thought you had the Silver Muff. Yeah, the green Bass Big Muff uses a standard plug, so you'll need this: http://www.thomann.de/gb/t_rex_dc_20cm.htm

    So in conclusion:
    -in order bass-Pitchblack-Muff-amp
-EHX adapter (that came with the Big Muff) into Pitchblack power input + the cable you suggested from Pitchblack power output to Big Muff power input?

    That'll do.

One more tiny question: would it be ok to use the EHX power supply with only the Pitchblack and no other pedals?
