Ok, so I decided to convert my (black box) Big Muff Pi from battery powered to AC power. I bought and installed an adapter so I can use it with my daisey chain adapter. I removed the battery clip and soldered the positive and negative to the plug, but when I ground the circuit board nothing happens. All my other pedals shut off. When I attach the ground and the negative terminal from the adapter I get horrible, horrible ground hum. Do I need to purchase a 3 prong adapter instead of a 2, or am I missing something here. I apoligise for being so vague, but I can answer any questions.

    Thanks guys

First, I would recommend a plastic jack as seen here:

This way it's isolated from the box itself. This picture also shows the ideal way of wiring it for a Boss style adapter.
