    Hey

My bands currently in the midst of getting our new cd together and so of course afterwards im going to be off on tour supporting it. I know this sounds stupid but im looking to put together some money ive saved plus selling the old rig to buy the big cab for Christmas...I play in a very very loud metal band and while i still dont need that many watts the shroeder is still cheaper than the ampegs and mesa's (australia's gear prices are rediculous).

Now that ive finished justifying the purchase...kinda...

    Recommendations on a poweramp? Thoughts?

    Thanks heaps in advance!

1000 watts would probably be good, though you could probably get by on less too.

Anyone know how a 300 watt tube amp would power one of those?

  4. Do you already have a preamp, or are you looking for a head?

Nah im getting rid of the old rig...bar the RBI.

So i need a MUCH bigger power amp...or i think so anyway.

Just get the most powerful one you can afford. QSC plx has a good reputation.

What QSC do you think i could get away with at minimum?

    Thanks

  8. I'd say get at least 1600 watts... Preferably I'd have the biggest power amp that I could afford, and I think they make a 5000 watt model... :smug: Of course, I'd much rather get something all tube...
