Anyone else sad about the departure for Dorian(bass) and Alan(drums) from Powerman 5000? I know I am. I think I need a hug.
I loved PM5000 when they were playing clubs in Boston. They had a percussionist and were really funky. Last time I saw them they dropped the percussionist and added a second guitar. Good for them I guess because they started to get airplay but bad for me because I liked them when they were real funky. They seemed to turn into another clone band, but hey maybe I am just bitter that one of Bostons funkiest bands disappeared. Dorian was much more of a leader in those days so maybe this is why he hit the road.
i dont really care. sure they were an ok band, but everyone from all bands are leaving it seems, so I'm numb to it now. i.e. Zach de la Rocha (RATM), Wes Borland (Limp Bizkit), and now these dudes. who cares. just forget about them and get on with your lives!
Dorian attended the Berklee School of Music. He was a better bassist than what Powerman 5000 may be able to find as a replacement. Frankly, I worry when a band starts having major personnel changes. They've already put out two or three CDs. If they are still modifying their sound and the rhythm section leaves in disgust or frustration, it doesn't bode well for the band...IMHO. Oh, yeah, I wish Dorian the best of luck in his next band. If anyone hears what band he goes to, please let us know...maybe Metallica????
No...not really. I never did like them, even back in Mega!! Kung Fu Radio days...just...nothing there for me. Though I did dig their sci-fi visuals. Other than that...meh. Though...wouldn't it be kinda cool if they (Dorian and Alan) hooked up with Wes...Sci-Freak meets Whackcore. To bad Wes is already kickin it with...what? Kill the Day? something like that...
Limp bizkit is a band.....Jajaja....... I thought they were some kind of bad joke !!!!!!!!!! HOHOHOHOHOHOHOHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!! LMAOL!!!!!!!!!!!!
