    Sounds like you have a shop to make you a new one, so go for it. I'm just jumping in to say that I had that exact same break on the nut of my BB415 - I wonder if it's a common problem? - but luckily I didn't lose the chip. Put it back on with super glue and it's still there three years later.

    Yamaha shop said it is common in low end of the bb serious do to plastic nut and angle of b string .
