I took a new job and don't have the time to practice that I used to, so I am going to let a couple basses go. Specs: Prat M-BSV 5 string 33" scale 28 frets 16-17mm spacing (adjustable) Nordy DCs under the ramp Noll 4 band pre Super light weight ash body (7lbs) Gallery grade Koa top One piece quartersawn maple neck with Wenge fretboard Hawaii island inlay Hipshot hardware Looking for $2500 shipped or possibly trade.
those inlays are fantastic if the bass goes to the "right" person! great looking axe. 33" basses are where its at.
BEAUTIFUL bass! Did I count correctly; are there really 28 frets on this baby? What type of (full or partial) trades are you looking for?
Ah, yes... I forgot to mention that it has 28 frets. I'm open to trades, probably something that's 34" with wider spacing.
I have a Skjold bass that fits that description (34" scale, 18.5mm string spacing), and that I would consider trading. However, it is an "Artist" model, and Pete says that it would cost about $6K to build today (it was more than $4,500 back in 2007). If it would be of interest to you, we could take this to PMs. Before that, however, I have one question -- Do you have any sound clips of this bass?
I just had my offer on a new house accepted, so I am motivated to move this bass. I had a couple people ask for soundclips, this is probably the best I have at the moment. Its recorded with my IPhone. Also, I hate youtube because they compress the sound.
