my young cousin, Samantha (She's the one in the purple dress on the right of your screen), is undergoing surgery for a cancerous tumor on her brain tomorrow. it is not her first time for this but it is a much more aggressive growth than previous ones. i need the prayers and thoughts of my bretheren here... both my dancing partner and my family appreciate your support. i am really at a loss for words here... way too young...
it such a terrible thing when little kids have to go through that. my hopes are with you and her, man.
Joe my prayers go out to you and yours. I am from the school of been there done that. I know exactly what you are going through. The days to come will be trying at best. You have friends here with big shoulders if you need us. Mike
Joe, my thoughts and prayers are with your family. I will request prayer for her at prayer meeting in the morning.
my thoughts are definately with her, and all the other children that deal with this same horrible predicament on a regular basis..
My thoughts and prayers are with you both Joe. May the Lord hold you both close and give you the strength needed to get through this.
joe sorry to hear about this joe i will definatley be keeping you and your family in my thoughts and prayers as i go through my day peace frank
Sorry to hear about such a tragedy happening to someone so young. If it helps remember that God doesn't allow anyone to go through anything they can't handle. She's in my prayers now. I'm sure it will come out fine. LU-MAN!
I have, and will continue. Do you know which hospital? CHoP is a top notch institution. If she's going into NY, Sloan Kettering too. Even Westchester is great. Either way, she has the collective knowledge and technical expertice and equipment and techniques on her side. Also, the other girl, is that a family member (sister)? This can be really rough on a youngster watching a friend or family member go through this. Don't forget her or others. All the best.
the other one i'm holding is her cousin but she does have a younger brother who isn't really understanding the situation... i don't even think Sam is understanding it. thank you all for your kind words thoughts and prayers, it' the reason i posted about it... TB has been notoriously supportive of everybody who has ever come here with anything of this nature. she'll be going under the knife now, and the hardest part is waiting... she's in maryland, where they live (very close to one of the best children's centers), and i'm stuck here in PA. i am going to get out there as soon they will allow visitors. after the surgery she has to undergo some very heavy chemo which will alst 6 months, and self-marrow dialysis/transplants... this will not allow visitation by anyone except her parents, grandmother, and brother. so here's to hoping i can't see her for about a month because that will mean everything is going as planned... i will certainly keep everyone up-to date as things progress and again, thank you for your kindness and thoughtfulness. -joe
My prayers are with Samantha, her family and the medical staff taking care of her. Please keep us updated. Take care bro'
i am saying a thousand prayers plus for your niece and for your family. keep your faith. you are all in my thoughts.
So they say? Dude, thats not cool. Children's hospital is one of the best in the nation (I assume that is where she will be going because of her location and the nature of her procedure). I went there when I was a rugrat for some tubes into my ears, and my bro went there when he was a newborn. He had a few... complications. The place is top notch, as good as it gets. She's isn't in good hands, she's in the best hands.
