Today i'm running into the city to hit up Rudy's for the MXR bass di, but like anythign i buy for my bass over 100 bucks, i'm already doubting if i need it (which i surely do...who doesn't need one more stomp box?) and it is killing me inside.

words of encouragement would be realy appreciated. :help:

I use it as an EQ for my passive J. Love it! The word about is, it's the box to bring if you don't know what gear they're going to have @ your gig site. Like the Sansamp I guess.

Erm I have it, so if it's good enough for an effects freak like me it's good enough for you.

    Janice Tanaka-Fireball Ministry, Pink
    Kevin Baldes-Lit
    Robert Trujillo-Metallica
    Doug Wimbish-Living Color
    TM Stevens
Verdine White- Earth Wind and Fire
    Jason Newstead-Ozzy
    Les Claypool-Primus
    Taras Prodaniuk-Dwight Yoakam
    Dave Roe-Johnny Cash
    Mike Brignardello-Nashville studio veteran
    Michael Rhodes-Nashvile studio veteran
    Chris Beattie-Hatebreed
    Cone- Sum 41
    John Aldrete- Mars Volta
    Justin Meldal-Johnsen- IMA Robot
    Mike Inez- Heart
    Markku Lappalainen-Hoobastank
    Chris Chaney- Jane's Addiction
    Ginger Reyes- Halo Friendlies
    Hunter- AFI
    Lee Sklar- Studio veteran
    Quinn Allman-The Used
    Lyle Workman
    Evan Taunenbaugm-Avril Lavigne
    Matt Scannell-Vertical Horizon

Just incase you wanna read more about it http://www.jimdunlop.com/products/electronics/mxr/products/m80.html

Hope this helps you buy an eq pedal that is way better than the sansamp IMO

See if you can play a gig with just the bass and the DI - no amp. If it works, it's worth the 100 bucks.

yeah, so i wanted it for a gig tomorrow, figured i'd figure it out at practice tonight, so i've spent the past 2 days calling like every music store within 20 miles of me, no one carries/had it in stock. so i went into the city cause i've tried it at rudy's but it was gone, manny's almost had one, but their inventory was messed up, long story short, i was pissed off and just ordered it off musiciansfriend... and still no free shipping. but i had chipotle so that was cool. thanks :bag:

that';s insane, is there a way for me to cancel my musician's friend order?
  11. I don't know about that but I did want to jump in and tell you that I take my pedal board including the M80 and plug into a PA once a week at a friends house and I get a great tone from my rig minus amp. I have dialed in my sound and now wish I could play through a PA all of the time.
