pre fender sm-900 help

Discussion in 'Amps and Cabs [BG]' started by jazzper, Mar 15, 2006.

  1. i just bought a pre-fender sm-9oo black face. It seems to be an excellent except i have one problem. it has a stereo and bridge selector but it also has red and black banana plug outputs thats in the speaker output section that supposedly bridge the head also. my question is if i push the stereo and bridge selector into bridge mode will it shift the overall head into bridge mode, or will i still have to use banana plugs in the speaker output section under bridge or it is okay to use the left or right speaker outputs while the selector is in bridge mode.

I had an SM-400 that worked exactly the same way. You need to use the banana connector in the center to bridge it. Also make sure that the switch has bridge mode selected. You won't be able to bridge out of the 1/4 inch left and right stereo outs.
