    hi :bassist:,
I am going to buy new aguilar DB659. I also own SWR VM4004 but I dont like its sound (I want to use it as poweramp) but there is no preamp input in the SWRhead. Is it possible to connect preamp in SWR active bassinput and how does it affect the sound - is it the same as preamp input?
I bought new hartke 8x10 XL - if I match it together, is it a good bassrig for rock? Does anybondy here have some experience with similar rig?
    thank you for responses
  2. Sending the output of the Aguilar into the active or passive inputs of the SWR will really defeat your purpose of buying a better pre-amp. Your best way of doing this is to insert the output of the pre-amp into the effects return of the SWR. Make sure the effects blend control is turned all the way down. This should bypass the SWR pre-amp and only use it as a power-amp. Good Luck....
