What is the standard ohm pot use for the volume control in a preamp? I just purchased a bass with a bart 2 band pre where the setup was vol/vol/bass/tre and the seller stressed that it comes with a 500K ohm pot on the pickup volume control. This thing is very powerfull sounding which I like very much. The thing is, I want to switch it to a vol/blend but still maintain that powerfull sound, and I'm also changing the pre to an Aguilar OB-2 (2 band). What are the volume/sound differences between lets say a 500K, 250K & 50K pots. Can someone help me out, thanks
  2. The lower the impedance the darker the sound, the higher the impedance the brighter the sound, i think, it might be the other way about.
