Preamp for EMG P/J Pickups

    What would the options be if I wanted to add a preamp to my active EMG PJs. Can I add any preamp or must it be an EMG preamp.

    You should be able to use most preamps with EMG's. I have EMG P/J's in my hot rod precision, and a P-Retro preamp from John East. It's a stacked bass/treble control with bright pull - I love it, it helps give the EMG's more clarity when using the P or more oomph when using the J.
