Preamp question

    Hello all,

    I have a 6 string 2016 Wolf bass with an 18v, 3 band eq.

    I just purchased a Warwick Corvette with an Aguilar 18v, 3 band eq.

    How difficult, if it is even possible to swap them? I dont think I want to, but I'm curious how mechanically inclined one must be.

    I only get a hammer to work about 45% of the time lol.

    Also, do I need to replace the pots? Or can I use the infrastructure that's there?

    Do they have the same number / type of pots and switches? If not, it will be some work. I'd worry less about mechanical inclination than the soldering / electronics part. Sounds like maybe you should ask for help, though. ;)

    It'd be easiest if you could transfer the Pots and all wiring from one bass to the other.

    I was jamming on the six string this morning and I think I'll just leave it alone. The Aguilar is in a $$ Corvette so it is in a good place, it just takes up a ton of space in the compartment.

    I haven't had a chance to take it to the shop yet for a set up, so maybe there is something they can do.

    I'm glad it has a 3 band in it. I am not a fan of the two band eq.
