I have a 2012 Precision Deluxe. I mainly play jazz basses but thought it would be cool to have the p bass neck pick up with the jazz at the bridge. I love the way it plays but I don't like the way it sounds at all. Not a big fan of the stock Fender noiseless. I want to make a change but it's way to hard to determine what these other pickups sound like on you tube video's. I'd love to get something that can handle the lows and still get that growly sound. It's an active passive bass but I'm always playing passive so I'd be willing to give up the preamp. I'm here for suggestions so whatever feedback I can get would be great. Thanks

Most P-pickups will generally sound similar: big, round, bottom-y. It's the nature of the coil geometry and wiring of a P-pickup. That's why P's and J's are different.
