Preparing to peform again.after a break ...how to go about it?

Discussion in 'Band Management [BG]' started by Fassa Albrecht, Feb 19, 2008.

  1. I'm gearing up to start performing again after a fairly hefty break of almost 3 months (which seems nothing but I hardly played any bass in that time).

Now this is going to sound like a stupid question but how should I go about preparing? Is there anything I should definitely do practically?

I know the songs I have to be able to do and I have a new bass as well.

  2. practice

  3. Practice the songs on your new bass a lot, if that is going to be your primary gigging bass. Get familiar with your new bass as much as you can.

I didn't touch a Bass for almost 16 years.Took me about a month of practice to start feeling it again.

  5. I better point out that I've only been doing performances for about 7 months now......
