Preservation Hall Jazz Band played in my little town last night.

    What a show ! They had a 7 piece thing going on with some seriously swinging NOO ORRLUNS jazz going on . Bassist Benjamin Jaffe is a very nice guy who also does an admirable job on the tuba. He was playing a refinished German bass 19th c. Very shiny i must add.

    Great stuff. Last time I saw them in Nawlins, Lucien Barbarin was playing da bone. Great stuff.

    Yeah Man ! he played last night also ! that guy can play and sing ! He sounds like loius armstrong vocally !

    Did Leroy Jones play trumpet, or somebody else?

    do not remember;;;I do know that the trumpet player was the band leader according to ben Jaffe
