Great tune, easy as pie. Use them flaps on the side of yer head and you should be able to figure it out in about 4 minutes.
What kind of an attitude is that? The guy was asking for help and the attitude " use your ears" don't help him a bit. If you can't offer any more than that, don't bother to answer. Is the tune your'e refering to called "back On The Chain Gang" If so I'll tab it for you.
Back on the Chain Gang (1) from Learning To Crawl Transcription: Pete White The changes are a little off, but they work. Main Riff: G|--------2-----------------------------| D|--0--4-----------2--------------------| A|-----------0--4--------------2-----2--| E|--------------------0--2--3-----3-----| (Play 5 times) Change: "...back in the fight..." G|--------2-----------------------------------| D|--0--4-----------2--------------4--2--------| A|-----------0--4--------------2--------4--2--| E|--------------------0--2--3-----------------| Then: "...back on the train..." G|--------------------------2-----| D|--2--4--2--0--------2--4-----4--| A|--------------2--0--------------| E|--------------------------------| (Play 3 times) Then: G|-----2--4--2--------------| D|--0--------------2--4--2--| A|--------------0-----------| E|--------------------------| (Play 2 times) These are the basic patterns used throughout the rest of the song, with some slight variation (slides, etc...) If you listen to the album you'll see what order to put the different parts for the rest of it. The only other major new bit is right at the end of the solo (2:02 on my CD player) It goes like this: G|--------------| D|--0--0--0--0--| A|--------------| E|--------------| And then it repeats this (feel free to get jiggy with it) several times: G|-----5h7--2--| D|--0----------| A|-------------| E|-------------| After it gets finished with that, it goes into a variation of the main riff: G|-----1--4-----------------------------| D|--2-----------1--4--------2-----1--4--| A|-----------2--------0--4-----2--------| E|--------------------------------------| And then back to normal. http://www.pretendersarchives.com/tabs/Tabchaingangb1.html hope this atleast gets you started
It's kind of ironic that this is my first visit to the tab forum and the first tab thread I read AFTER reading the sticky on tab forum rules. I think maybe you should take the time to read them also.
Well silent Method was faster. What can you do... Anyway here are the riffs my way... Sorry, you're right, I apologize. It has been a while since I visited the tab section and I kind of forgot that section of the rules. It's just such a simple tune that I typed without thinking. I always assumed the tab forum was for people looking for difficult tunes that they just couldn't figure out. If anyone needs "Twist & Shout" or "Crimson & Clover" tabbed out, let me know. I'm here for you. Just kidding. seriously, sorry for the reply and no disrespect to anybody's flaps.
None taken.............I have been playing this as a cover in my band for a while, and never made sure I was playing it right...........I was............and yes it's easy, but still fun for a basic song.........................It would take alot more than that to offend me.............I just wanted to keep my flaps in check, and thanks to all who helped!............Do you think you could help me with Smoke on the Water now?? lol
