A local store has a 2003(?) Fender American Deluxe Jazz Bass. They are selling it for "below dealer cost". It plays great and is a translucent teal. Maple board and has noisless pickups. The tags are still on it. Includes the case.

It does have a ding right on the edge of the finderboard in between the frets (about the 9th and 10th). Its on the bottom and doesn't interfere with playability. Other than that there aren't any flaws.

What would be a good price?

    - THANKS!!

From your description, it sounds like a Deluxe American Jazz bass... but we need to know for sure before we can give you an estimate. :spit:
  3. List price on one of those is about 1700, while street price new is probably closer to 1000-1100. Used, it can go between 600-800. Use this guide to gauge whethere you should buy it. If it's in a good condition, and it seems to be new, somewhere between 800-1000 would be a good deal in my opinion. Remember that Teal Green Transparent has been discontinued on the American Deluxe series, so it may be harder to find nowadays. It will definitely be a harder color to find in the future.
