For sale is a circa-1999 Ernie Ball Music Man StingRay in Honeyburst; four-string, single humbucker, three-band EQ, rosewood fretboard with pearloid pick guard. Weight on my scale is 9 1/2 pounds. It plays and sounds great, neck is straight, frets are in great shape, truss rod works fine, all electronics work. I bought this locally on Craigslist about 5 years ago and used very sparingly. The finish is cracking and delaminating in a number of places. The wood underneath isn’t damaged (except for a couple of small gouges), it appears to be just a cosmetic problem. There’s a little nick on the neck but it doesn’t affect the playability for me. Bottom line, if you’re worried about looks this may not be the bass for you, but if you want a great sounding StingRay with mojo then please check out the pictures.

Note that in the photos the bass was strung BEAD but I have since converted it back to EADG. Bass ships strung with brand new Sadowsky Black Label Stainless Steel Roundwounds and a new Duracell battery. I will ship it in the original hard-shell case, which is not in great shape, it has the vinyl covering on the bottom coming off, it will protect the bass just fine but has tape holding it together. If you’d prefer I will ship it in a cheapo Fender gig bag, your choice. It will be wrapped in bubble wrap and packed in a new cardboard box.

I’m asking $850 $750, PayPal is fine, contact me about other payment methods. Free delivery anywhere in the Houston area. Will ship to continental US for $100 FREE or to Alaska/Hawaii for actual shipping. Will consider shipping to Canada for actual shipping, insurance and duty costs based on sales price. No International shipping, sorry.

I’m trying to thin the herd so absolutely no trades, sorry.

Feel free to ask questions in the comments or PM me directly. Thanks for your interest!

Where's the neck ding on the neck? Opposite of what fret?

Hi coronado3, the ding is between the second and third fret, on the bottom side of the neck. It's not as deep as it looks in the pictures. Hope this helps. Let me know if more pics would help, I'd be glad to take some more.

Maybe a better/different angled pic on the neck ding...

Hopefully this gives you a better idea, I am not a ninja at this photo attachment deal, sorry if it's huge.
