    Reduced to $2900. Great deal!!

    Parting with my beautiful Azola Eurocoustic Travel bass. Excellent condition. Located in Centreville, MD. This is one beautiful looking, playing and sounding instrument. Steve installed an extra long pin because I'm 6'5" tall. It only left the house 2-3 times - other than that it lived in my music room. Never got upright under my fingers to my satisfaction, so am going back to electric exclusively. Hate to give this beauty up, but my loss is gonna be someone else's baby...

    Here are specifics from Azola:

    * Azola EuroCoustic Baby Bass
    * Hollow body
    * Fully carved arched Maple back
    * Bent Maple sides
    * Fully carved arched Spruce top
    * Bass bar & soundpost
    * Maple neck with scroll headstock
    * Ebony fingerboard & fittings
    * 41.5" scale length
    * Thomastik Spirocore strings (3/4 Weich)
    * Adjustable endpin *** extra long 30")***
    * Gloss violin finish
    * Adjustable Maple bridge
    * Presently equipped with Fishman Full Circle pickup * Gig bag (included)
    * 60"H, 18"W, 10"D (top of bridge to back of bass)

    Can it played acoustic? or do you need pickup/amplification support? If so how loud can it be played, and how does it compare to an plywood upright?

    thank you

    Yes, It can be played acoustically with enough volume for practice. The volume, however, is nowhere near a ply upright - the body is so much smaller, so you can't gig it without an amp. I've used both an AI Contra and an EA Doubler into a Crazy 8 and it sounds great both ways.

    The big surprise is amplified through the Full Circle - just close your eyes and it sounds like a big upright with just the right amount of available growl that you can call up. Very nice indeed.

    And it's a visually beautiful instrument as well. It has a distinct upright vs "stick" appearance.
