This is a once in a lifetime bass, and I am certain that I will regret letting it go!

I ordered this bass in 2015 or so through Bass Northwest. They are long since discontinued, and getting harder to find!

Since then, I had Marty Bell shoot the neck in a sweet satin on the back and a protective gloss on the fingerboard. I have always used TI Jazz Flats on this bass, so there isn’t any wear to speak of. Marty assured me that this finish is even more durable than the epoxy you would often see in this application. The other benefit is that the neck is now much less reactive to temperature changes. I also had a new corian nut made by the great Pat Woodward at Xpert Guitar Works.

The bass also includes a Hipshot Xtender, and a now impossible to find (I ordered the very last one) white ice pickguard.

The preamp is stock, but the pickups are custom sized Nordstrand Big J Blades in the warm and woolly voicing. My absolute favorite setting is all switches up (middle and bridge together, preamp bypassed) with the passive tone control at about 85%.

Will ship in the original hardshell case, and include the removable label for the controls.

I am no photographer, but I have done my best to show the light player wear on this bass . Shipping available at buyer expense.

Do you have the original pickups and will they still fit?

@king_biscuit good question! Original pickups are gone, but Nordstrand made these to fit without any modification at all (originals would still fit)

I have a fretted four string Big Al. A fretless would be really cool.

Really nice looking. Do all of the EB controls work with the Nordstrands in them?

I have an Albert Lee Guitar and just love it!!!

Great question! Yes, the preamp works just the same as it did before.
