*I uploaded some recordings of me playing. Hopefully you can decipher the quality of the bass vs the quality of my playing

Fully carved 7/8 German Bass for sale. Bass has been dated around the late 1800's. This bass has a great sound arco/pizz and really sings under solo tuning. This bass is well maintained, and all repair work was done by a professional luthier when the previous owner had it.

My luthier put a new fingerboard on and a neck shim to give more clearance over the shoulders. We also put an adjustable bridge and new endpin. There are EP mediums on now, and I also have a rev solo pickup and Gollihur bass bag that I'm offering with it. I live on the east coast of Florida, between Orlando and West Palm.

Here are all the specs and let me know if you have any questions.

    Total length- 73in.
    Body length- 43 1/2 in.
    String length- 42 7/8 in.
    Eb Neck

    Upper bout- 19 3/4 in.
    Middle- 14 in.
    Lower bout- 25 in.

Rib depth at neck- 7 1/4 in.
Rib depth at bottom- 8 1/4 in.

Here is a recording from my senior recital:

Thanks for the 1000 views! This bass has THE sound! Who wants to play it?

  4. I do. If only I had the money. I can verify, though, that this bass does indeed have the sound. Also, it's been years, but I remember this bass being one of the easiest basses to play. The price is also a great deal for anyone interested.

If you come to nola bring it. I'd love to play it. I have an eye for larger instruments and might sell my 3/4 german for a larger bass.

I was playing this bass pretty regularly over the past couple of months and the thread died, but it is still on the market. Let me know if you want to play it!

I will try and get something recorded this weekend. I have an audio recording of my college recital. Let me try and upload that.
