Seriously one of the best basses I've ever played, and inspired my migration to Lakland from Fender after almost 20 years of playing the latter almost exclusively. This is my 2015 Lakland Skyline 55-02 Deluxe, cherryburst over quilted maple and ash, maple fretboard, maple neck with graphite reinforcement. Loaded with the delicious Bartolini pickups that are full, fat, and warm. I've compared this bass next to a Lakland pickup-equipped 55-02, and it's not close...the Barts are excellent. Lakland LH-3 preamp with 3-band EQ, coil split toggle for the bridge MM pickup, blend, and volume knob with push/pull active/passive switch. 35" scale. Strung with a new set of Fender 7250s (which are in my opinion the BEST strings for this bass). Weighs just a tad over 10 lbs according to my scale. Great condition -- a couple small dings near the output jack and a light surface scratch on the back just rear of the neck pocket (see photos). I'm including a Lakland hardshell case that is in likewise great condition. Asking $1175 shipped $1100 shipped CONUS, PayPal only. Thanks!

As for trades, I'm looking for 30" scale basses. Hofners, Mustangs, Laklands, Fallouts...let me know what you've got. Ideally wanting to trade down with cash depending.

I have one just like this but with the Lakland Pickups and preamp. Good luck with the sale!

I used to have one of these but full Bart - pre and pups. Fantastic bass. If I weren’t playing Roscoe I’d have one of these.

Even playing a Roscoe I am tempted. Love the look of the cherry burst on these. Wish they weren’t 10 lbs.

It isn't the lightest bass in the herd, but it sounds fantastic. Bright, snappy, with that nice Bartolini grunt.

I too agree on the Barts over the Lakland P/Us. Not that there is anything wrong with the later. They are super clear sounding pickups but the extra fatness and oomph from the Barts take these basses over the top.

Definitely. My only experience had ever been with the Bart-equipped -02 basses before trying out a Lakland-equipped one. The difference is not subtle. The Barts add so much warmth!

I had Barts on my Tobias Killer B and I liked them a lot but were not for all music for me and what I was looking for. Weren't bad pickups at all and I wish I had kept that bass too. Never heard or played a in person a Lakland 55-02 with Barts.

In the Lakland 55-02 with the Lakland pickups preamp, I like this sound better for my taste for more modern music and it covers quite a bit of styles/sounds. Also I like how you can open up the Lakland and change the settings on the preamp so I get different sounds. I don't know if the 55-02's with Barts you can do that. I still have my Fender Jazz with EMG's and my new edition my Sterling RAY 4 with Aguilar pickup for other sounds.

The preamp in this bass is still the Lakland LH-3 which has dip switches for adjusting mid peaks. A very neat feature that makes a hugely versatile bass even more versatile!

Oh cool, I didn't know the 55-02 with Barts had this too! Nice!

Yeah, I was surprise when I saw this. Then did some research and seen all the combinations of sounds you can get by changing the switches.
