All MTD basses are hand build one of a kind instruments, but this one is very special and rare. This bass was built for NAMM 2020, which it never attended and there for has only been played by me. And was acquired just before the COVID-19 shutdown, so it has never left my home studio.

The wood selection is the really special part. The top is a one off piece of Holly with a roasted ash body. And the neck is a lightly flamed maple with a 50 year old air dried indian rosewood fingerboard. The feel is as soft as a vintage Martin acoustic.

The pickups are dual coils like you would find in the Norm Stockton signature bass and the electronics are the standard MTD 535 setup.

The bass bas a beautiful MTD tone with growl and punch. Great low end focus, solid midrange and warm highs.

This bass also comes with a one off molded MTD hard case.

$100 shipped domestic. International will depend on destination.

One of the nicest MTD’s I’ve ever seen! Holly is such a beautiful wood, and to source a top that size must have been really difficult. Wish I had the scratch, I would snag that in a second! GLWTS

Your right and in person it’s even more amazing. Holly doesn’t photo well, but in person it’s something else.

I have no means to buy another MTD but I'm so very curious about the dual coil pickups. I see only one switch and I supposed that's for the mid freq. Is this a Vol/Vol setup with push/pull to select the coils? Guess a wild guess.

In this configuration they are not splitable. I had no intentions of a split coil, but during the shut down these were the only pickups Mike had in stock. So we gave them a try, and Mike and myself were very surprised how great they sound. He could make them splitable very easily of someone wanted.
