    That bass looks so much like the NYC one I had about 20 years ago. It is the one I am playing in my profile pic. That one was an NYC custom with headstock painted to match body (but I prefer the clear finish on this one) and a really nice Ebony fingerboard (this one looks like Pau Ferro or Marado maybe).

    Anyway I expect it will be the same fine Sadowsky craftsmanship even if made in Japan instead of NYC. Roger would not put his name on them if he did not believe they were the same quality.

    Looks like I need to hose it off in the driveway before bringing it in the house, though.
