This bass is in mint condition. It is 2.5 years old, and I rarely played it. (I gigged with it a handful of times). I determined I simply am not a "five-string guy." I'm just too old to switch from the four-string to the five-string. The bass was set up by a professional, who also installed the Hipshot Type A bridge. (I'm not a fan of Fender's stock barrel-type bridge. But I also will send you the stock bridge in case you are a fan of it.) The bass sports RotoSound Swing 66 strings. This bass sounds great and plays great (from what other five-string players tell me). Soft maple body Vintage-tint maple neck with “C”-shaped profile 20-fret maple fingerboard with black binding and black block inlays Dual Fender®-designed single-coil Jazz Bass pickups Black three-ply pickguard Fingerboard Radius: 9.5" (241 mm) Nut Width: 1.875" (47.6 mm) Scale Length: 34" (864 mm)
Brent: According to Fender, the nut is synthetic bone. It’s certainly not plastic. I live in Alexandria. Maybe we could meet halfway (Fredericksburg, maybe)? I could bring a headphone amp so you could try it out. Jim
