    Vintage 1974 Fender Jazz Bass

Awesome vintage Fender Jazz Bass made in Fullerton, CA, USA in 1974. Original black finish and maple neck with white binding and pearl block markers. This bass is ALL ORIGINAL except for just the chrome pickup covers (they are are relic reissue covers) - Everything else is factory original. It has plenty of finish wear, dings and scratches here and there, but overall very very nice condition for being 48 years old!

The bass weighs a comfy 9.4 lbs. The original pickups are strong and loud and the bass sounds incredible - just a sweet vintage Jazz Bass! No cracks, no mods, no repairs, no issues.

The neck is straight and the truss rod works good. The action is nice and low. The frets are all original and show typical wear for their age, but still have life left in them. This neck is one of the last 4-bolt Jazz basses to leave the factory in the ‘70s, right before Fender made the change to 3-bolt necks.

Neck plate dates to '74, as do the pots. Grey bottom pickups have no markings and there is no visible date on the butt of the neck, however Fender was not consistent in this regard. I took this bass to my "vintage" guy and he has zero doubts that all is correct. The case is in good structural condition and shows typical wear from age/use and the Fender logo is intact.

    Reduced to $3300 Shipped (USA)
Paypal (prefer Friends & Family). Hopefully my feedback speaks for itself, I've been on TB around 20 years and stand behind what I sell 100%.

Also open to trade offers for a comparable Fender p bass or possibly a Moolon + or - cash.

I have the exact same 74 bass with a 68xxxx serial, all original, down to the strings with an original Orange Drop cap. ... These are killer basses.

FWIW, might be willing to trade for a comparable vintage P bass or a Moolon P, + or - cash....
