Price searching

i was looking into getting a fender mike dirnt p-bass, but last time i was in a guitar shop(guitar center or independent shop) i think they were like $400-450 at most. now its listed at $939 online. has it jumped that much in a few months? i even saw the mark hoppus series which was like $300 now going for like $900. so i was curious if anyone out there has been doin any shoppin and if anyone has found the mike dirnt bass any cheaper. im livin in the metro detroit area, but i'm sure pricing is pretty much the same everywhere, so any help would be appreciated
