    Primavera 30pcf
Primavera is one of our favorite body woods. It's grown in Southwestern Mexico, Guatemala, El Salvador, and Honduras. The wood is yellowish-white to light yellowish-brown and often striped. The texture is medium to coarse and has a similar weight to Swamp Ash. The wood is dimensionally stable, easy to work, and has a great appearance. Primavera is not always available and is usually 2 to 3 times the price of Alder and Swamp Ash.

if it happens, it'll be a 5 string fretless (oooh oooh, i need another one of those!) with a killer cocobolo fongerboard!

    Fred, you whore! ;)

Actually the primavera wood doesn't really "grab" me like some of TBC's other bodies that I saw the last time I visited that web page. Here are a couple that I added to my collection of purty bass pics:

Not a huge fan of burl but this one just does it for me.

Ok..no reason to attach files. I just went to the website and found the other one...here it is..one of the nicest spalts this side of Jeff Rader:

Just to clarify for anyone that's confused...Jeff Rader himself is not actually spalted. One of his Sadowsky's is. :D

I know what you mean...my feet have developed a nice spalting ever since I used that communal shower at a retreat a couple of weeks back.

hehe, that was actually brought up!

there are 3 to choose from:

    1. 5 string fretted, solid primavera

    2. 5 string fretless, ash/spalt maple

    3. 5 string fretted, ash/purpleheart

i may get to test drive all 3 for a while before i decide.

    each are system 2 lightwavers.

which means i have yet another bass i can drop my Roland V-Bass interface card into.

    yeeeeeeeeeha!

I assume the spalt 5 is the one in the first pic since the other two are 4 strings. Too bad...that third pic is real nice. (says "11" in the neck cavity)
