last night I saw Primus in DC.
today I am a happy man.

    quick takes:
-Les makes all that playing look effortless.
-Plays Sgt Baker on a 4-string, which I didn't know.
-Tim ripped out the best and longest drum solo I've ever heard. Anybody time it? Felt like an easy half-hour including the bit in the middle with Les on Whamola. (seriously, Peart's got nothin on this guy and I thought I'd never say those words ever)
-Said drum solo also contained the heaviest groove I've ever experienced.
    -Intermission was amusing
    -Georgie Porgie was hilarious
-Only downside? *some* of the "jam for several more minutes" parts were a little long.
-Oh, another downside: Didn't play but 2 new cuts from Animals
-all in all, a fantastic show. We whipped out the lighters for Fish On, it was hypnotic to see that played live.

I wanted to go but I had a gig at school for the musical.
