Problems with my Noname Tube-Amp

Discussion in 'Amps and Cabs [BG]' started by liquid-dream-ex, Jul 31, 2003.

  1. Hi everyone :)

I've got some problems with my austrian mid-70ies tubeamp.

I dont like its sound anymore.A few months ago it started to make problems and i found out it were the tubes so i put two of them out and it sounded better, but no i dont like the sound anymore.

I mean...okay, i get one sound that i feel n love with. Its the aggresive jump-in-your-face-growling sound. I'll cut throught the guitars and drums easily even if i dont turn up the volume...but there's no other sound that is okay.

When i slap i have to less bass, when i want to add a bit of it on the amp (only 2band EQ) its wired.

It shoudl sound like hOOOOOooooom (hope u get what i mean *lol*) but it sounds HOOoomp...a bit like someone would hit the speakers with a hammer.

Do u have some suggestions what i could try to get rid of it?
  2. One more try!
