Looking for an eq pedal for my board that will hold several "settings" for pre-stored eq settings that can be accessed from my board on the fly. I have a full eq on my hartke head, but adj the settings per song requirment is a pain. Looking @ the boss eq-20. (Anyone have any feedback on it?)
Any other suggestions or different models to suggest would help.
    Thanx

our tb pro pal justin meldal-johnsen said he's used a gs-10 to do exactly that. gs-20 is an updated model. got no experience with either, but if it's good enough for justin it'll probably work for you.

  3. On a completely unrelated note, when I saw the title to this thread I read: pornographic eq?

My mind is so in the gutter today.

As dumb as it may seem, the EQ-20 doesn't allow program changes with pedals.
I found multieffects to be the most practical devices to programmable EQ.

Not to be that guy who jumps in with the non sequitur gear recommendation, but the EQ preset function is one of the reasons I love my TC RH450 so much. One of those things that I didn't realize I needed until I had it.

If you love your Hartke, I'm afraid I'm not much more help than that.

Here's a link to a eq-20 programmable boss pedal that I sold. I have 1 left and since I have a VT pedal I don't use the eq-20 anymore, so if you are interested let me know. They work terrific and allow you to switch eq's at the tap of the foot switch while playing.

I could use something like that too, and I would rather not go the multi-effect route.

This seems to be an unmet need for a lot of musicians. I wonder when some pedal maker will wake up and take advantage of it... (Anybody listening?)

Great pedal. I have one on my board and I love it. I play in a cover band so it is a great tool to change tone for different types of songs. It also works as a boost pedal as it has a gain fader as well. In addition to the presets, you have a the ability to go from preset to manual settings which allows you to tweek the faders on the fly. My only recommendation is to look into the ANALOGMAN modification to swap the preset button with the on/off pedal. For some reason BOSS thought it a good idea to have a tiny little button to toggle through the presets instead of a footpedal (duh). Other than that the thing rocks.
