    Where did you get that control plate ? Looks bitchin'. I have an essex on wich I'm looking to go no pg and bassparts only has a chrome one for over 30$.

    Thanks ...

    The control plate is the stock plastic pickguard cut off & covered with scrap vehicle wrap vinyl .... the body of the bass is covered with the same stuff.

    That sounds great! I may need one of those SX fretless P's. I wish there was a more affordable five string P bass available, I mean with one P pup not J's.

    Strange I know ..but I thought it looked cool:D

    Though I had played a fretless bass a few times over the years this is the first one I have owned & tried to play good enough to record ... I have a new respect for fretless players ...... you have to be hyper accurate with your fingering (way more than fretted) or it really sux.
