I recently bought a Warmoth neck (Bubinga/Ebony) and I'm planing on doing an oil finish. So I was wondering what the pros/cons would be to oiling the fretted Ebony fingerboard?

    Thanks,

I design and build electric basses and pickups under the Turner, Renaissance, and Electroline brand names.
All pros, no cons if you really work on wiping excess oil off next to the frets as you go.

So in your opinion it shouldn't effect the ebony's tone?
