I know this covers a wide range of effects/combinations and is very opinionated by nature-but I would like people to suggest effects pedals and such that they feel give really trippy sounds. (and yes I did search before posting)

The usual suspects, fuzz, delay, ring mod, octave up and fuzz is always good, filters, that sorta thing anything that sound wierds.

Best setup would probably be all the moog pedals :D

    Dude! You left-out Flange!

Ooo! ..Or how'bout chorus set all-vibrato-like... or.. No - I got it: that Danelectro thing that plays everything backwards.

Oh! Or that Danelectro 'Sitar Swami'!

    There ya' go...

TBH if you play them in that style all effects work I'd say.

I'm interested in its name, too. Anyone?

  11. Check out the MoogerFoogers on the moogmusic site, very unique but pricey, they have samples but not many bass examples. I think the Murf 105 unit is the most "trippy"...

  12. sorry these_go211, missed your post...

    Delay for sure.

Sitar simulators are pretty good too. Tremelo is very psychadelic as well.

It's just reverse delay. It doesn't really play everything backwards, it just plays the echo backwards. It's pretty trippy. Clips of me using the reverse delay on my Line 6 Echo Park here.

I've got my mind setteld on a dunlop rotovibe or univibe of some sort, As I got an old volume pedal with a nice looking beastie boys sticker on it, I plan to build a univibe clone ala rotowah into this one to control speed So I can be as cool as JPJ on heartbreaker!!!

Has anyone got any clips of these "Sitar" pedals?
I dont expect them to sound too much like a sitar, But I think they'll be interesting none the less.. :bassist:
