last night i ran my new B1500 into both my Tri112s i'd hardly gotten off the stage at the end of our set before the bass player from the first band was asking me about the carvin head--he said his drummer commented on the punch and if his drummer noticed it, he felt he needed to look into it himself the following band's bass player borrowed my rig, so i had the opportunity to hear it from the audience--in short, i'm very pleased with this matchup previously i was running a TF420 into these cabs, and although i like the sound, it evidently just wasn't pushing the cabs enough...the additional power of the B1500, while obviously providing more headroom, also gives such a pronounced definition to the attack of a note that it gets really close to that 'thump' i hear with a sealed cab...the sub low-E register is now better defined, and the lowest notes have a lot more authority one thing that i wasn't expecting is how much in enjoy the high end of this amp--the highs are very 'sweet' an musical...and they seem to have a bit more separation from the midrange than what i was getting with the TF all in all, i got exactly what i wanted with this combination, which feels good, especially considering the price of the carvin amp oh, and i plugged my 810 in along with the accugrooves to see what it would sound like--wow, if it weren't such overkill, i'd love to gig this setup...maybe an outdoor show sometime
I love my B1500 with my Avatar B212 neo! I'm considering buying another B1500 just because they are so inexpensive.
8 amps, 4 power amp / preamp combos, 10 cabinets and about two dozen basses later Ive realized.... power is everything
agreed +1000 there is no substitute for clean power and HEADROOM!!!!! I love my B1500..........way more than..........gasp.........my previous aggie db750!
B1500 is the bee's knees, the cat's meow, the how's your father. Works equally well through my 2x15 as my 1x12. Love it.
