Where's the option for Jerry Only? He may not be the best, but he's my favorite!

Mark Hoppus shouldn't even be near a list of good punk bassists.

    I still love Blink though!

But Matt Freeman, best out of them.
  8. Dude, Sid Vicous was easily one of, if not the, worst bassist in punk ever. Maybe one of the worst bassists in general. Dude, they used to not plug him in during shows cause he sucked so bad.

Yeah, you left off alot of people, and if i could do mulitple choice, Mike Dirnt and Matt Freeman would get my 2 votes
  10. I fail to understand why Paul Simonon doesn't get more respect here. Not only is a more *tasteful* player then Matt Freeman, his tone is amazing.

But yes, Mike Watt should be on that list, to say the least.
  11. Sorry, I'm new. I was trying to see if popularity (Mark Hoppus) could beat skill (Paul Simonon) And just kinda making conversation.

And what do you mean that these guys aren't punk?

  12. But...

    Who's Mike Watt?

Sorry, I'll probably feel dumb later for asking this.

I was trying to think of the Descendants bassists name. It's this guy, isn't it? Did he also play on All's first album? Their's some wicked tasty stuff on that!

Well we all have our opinions
  18. He only played on one studio record (the last one). Tony Lombardo was the primary bass player in the Descendents.

Yup, Karl has been and is currently the bassist for ALL but was on the last Descendents Studio release and Everything Sucks when Milo returned for a bit.
  20. Oh yeah, forgot about that Everything Sucks thing. last two studio records then, and I think one of the live albums.
