Punk lines

    Hello everybody I know that some or most of you bassists don't like punk lines. Well I am going to be in an imo/ punk band so I need to start getting good at punk lines. Does anybody know any Easy to Medium Hard Bass Lines. Or any imo bass lines.

    most punk bassists usually play the root notes of whatever chord the guitarists are playing. My advice is to not do that, listen to some rancid or op ivy for great punk lines, some good songs are "journey to the end or east bay" by rancid or any song off "energy" by op ivy. for the emo i like the get up kids teh lines arent great but decent for good basslines check out ozma also songs would be "battlescars" or "in search of 1988"

    listen to green day, rancid, op ivy, and saves the day.

    rancid is probably your best bet out of all of those. Matt Freeman plays some of the most complicated bass stuff ever.
