  3. NO! only a Fender P- Bass will work.. Got it...OK.. are you joking or what?... you can use a freaking wash-tub bass if you wanted to... there are no laws to what one should use for any style of music........ Why did I even reply to this?????? Sorry and good luck! Bro!

    Sometimes I get frustrated with the polls asking if its ok to do something in punk, but this dude just wanted to know if the tone was close enough to what they had.

    that's actually a very good jazz copy, as jazz copies go, from all accounts that i've heard.

    and play whatever you wanna play. _thats_ punk.

    I don't think Sid played anything much - but he sure as hell never played a Jazz bass copy! ;)

    sid vicious "played" a p-bass. he wasnt plugged in most of the time.

It was late,,Sorry!,,I still think a nice old wash tub bass would be just fine for that style of music:D I wish I had a Grandma that bought me a bass,,, Dude I hope you thanked her and gave her a big hug and said I love you Grandma...... Where's dear old Gandpa I like getting things from my sweet Grand Daddy :D
